Secretarium Technology Championed by Google

Secretarium is Using AI to Make the World a Safer Place

Google has acknowledged Secretarium as one of the "16 startups using AI to make our world safer" in their latest blog. We are honoured to be selected for the Google Growth Academy (Cybersecurity & AI), joining a global cohort of companies driving innovation in secure and privacy focused AI.

At Secretarium, we have been pioneering privacy first AI long before it became an industry priority. From deploying the first Confidential AI use case to analyse Covid 19 transmission in 2020 to continuously pushing the boundaries of secure AI solutions, our mission has always been clear. We’re bringing cutting edge security and privacy to the future of AI.

Google’s recognition highlights the impact of our work and reinforces the growing need for AI solutions that prioritise security. Read more about the cohort and Google’s vision for AI driven security in their blog: 16 startups using AI to make our world safer.

We’re just getting started. If you are interested in shaping the future of Confidential AI, we would love to connect.

Introducing Our New Rust SDK

We’ve recently released our new Rust SDK! This powerful toolkit is designed to help the Rust developers community build robust, high-performance applications on Klave.

Why Rust?

Our top priority is bringing the vast Rustacean community to Klave! Rust isn’t just about performance and safety—it comes with a large ecosystem of libraries that supercharge development. Thanks to its seamless compatibility with WebAssembly (Wasm), Rust makes it easier than ever for developers to deploy their applications on Klave.

What this means for developers:

Leverage Rust’s Ecosystem on Klave: Enable access to thousands of battle-tested crates (Rust libraries) to accelerate development and enhance functionality.

Seamless Integration: Use Rust’s tooling and Wasm support to build secure applications optimised for Klave.

Enhanced Security & Functionality: Leverage Klave’s confidential computing and SDK capabilities to strengthen your Rust applications.

Secure and Efficient Integration with Rust Web3 Library

With the release of our Rust SDK comes the integration of the Alloy library, enabling secure interactions with Ethereum and other EVM-based chains. By leveraging Alloy within your Klave app running on secure hardware, it ensures robust protection against tampering and enhances the security of your Web3 operations.

Additionally, we’re finalising Helios compatibility, a multichain light client powered by Alloy that enables verifiable communication with any EVM-based full node. By running Helios within a Klave app, developers can benefit from secure enclave protection and verifiable computational integrity through attestation to any EVM node.

Stay tuned for more updates on this game-changing integration!

Python connector

Our team has been diligently working to expand Klave's accessibility, and we're thrilled to announce the release of a brand-new Python connector.

Python-speaking friends are now able to connect with Klave applications seamlessly.

Whether you're looking to enhance security, ensure data privacy, or explore new use cases, this connector opens up a world of possibilities. We invite you to explore and test it out by visiting PyPI.

Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to refine and improve this tool. Check out our Docs and get started!

How Klave Prevents Forking, Cloning and Rollback Attacks

Written by Bertrand Foing, Co-Founder and CEO at Secretarium.

Trusted execution environments (TEEs) like Intel SGX are designed to protect sensitive computations, but they are not immune to threats. Forking, cloning, and rollback attacks can compromise application security, making it critical to have strong safeguards in place.

Our latest article explores these attack vectors and explains why an external root of trust is essential for maintaining state integrity. At Secretarium, we combine multiple layers of security to prevent these threats:

  • TEEs enhanced with Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) for verifiable security
  • Byzantine Fault Tolerant Raft (BFT-RAFT) to ensure state consistency across the system
  • A tamper proof and resilient architecture that protects against manipulation
  • Crypto-delegates providing cryptographic proof for host operations, adding an extra layer of trust
